I blew it...
And, after I blew it up, and the RR background is indeed the lower Bullring from further over just above the Links shanty. from the old pedestrian bridge. That is the Broadway bridge.
The photo of him, I'm still convinced was shot somewhere elsewhere and the RR pasted in.
The bridge at this location was an "open" "truss" structure, which is why it was such a good platform to shoot the choo-choo pictures. That perspective between him and he choo-choo (a 2500) seems slightly "off", with that wide shadow above him, and these wide "plywood" walls, it still doesn't look, to my recollection, like the shot of "him" in the foreground, was taken at the bridge itself.
I don't recall that it ever had any type of "wide" wooden (or plywood) "side" structure like that. So from that "angle" between him in the foreground framed in that wooden "structure", it didn't look like the Bullring from the pedestrian bridge, until I blew it up and could see the background.
Many of you who remember these, may remember that there was a similar one from San Fernando Road over the he hump and old PFE yard at Taylor, famous for many Taylor rail shots of the hump, cab track and lower end of the A yard.
