If the “Redwood Trail” organization could just make a rough hiker’s path along the grade, it would be fine for most outdoors people. It wouldn’t require any more maintenance than a simple hiking trail. But no, when local government makes a trail it always has to be graded like a highway, made wheel chair accessible, and paved with crushed rock per Mil Specs, all at enormous expense ($100’s of millions).
