I very vaguely recall that bridge. I think we crossed in on my first family camping trip, around 1957. Predawn departure from SF, trundle through Marin, breakfast in Santa Rosa, continue on ...

'57 Chevy wagon (6 cyl, Powerglide) with 2 adults, 3 small kids, full of luggage and camping gear in a basket on top under a tarp, no radio was the new family car for the trip. Probably a top speed of 50 mph (Dad didn't speed much, but his cars couldn't do much speeding anyway). I wasn't into trains at the time, so no NWP observations, sorry.

Curious: did the final NWP crossing have a draw span where it crossed the channel out of Tam Valley?
