yes, until we figure out containing the virus, shelter in place is necessary. My comment was more on the order of, imperfect as CAHSR may be, it beats the hell out of more freeway lanes, nothing at all, etc. Yes double tracking BNSF for greater throughput of the current SJ service would be useful, but the big issue remains getting through the mountains.
