Be forewarned; once upon a time when Amtrak " GUARANTEED " their connections, they could & would take you off the SW Limited in Barstow & put you on the AmBus to Bakersfield, then the San Joaquin to the Bay Area. Watch for strange " Train " numbers when booking your trip, these may actually be a bus connection.
