All diesels were built to burn No. 2. (EMD & GE books)

No. 1 is great but its like Kerosene. (Winter Fuel), Plus very expensive.

Remember the old Cats? (cable rigs) They had a pony engine that ran on gasoline or No. 1. When the RPM got high enough, you would throw it inline and it had enough umph to get the main engine to turn over and fire.
