In the late 70's (IIRC) when the Miller/Knox Regional Shoreline Park was created, the Pacific Locomotive Association, Inc. had their ex-SP "All Day Lunch" food service car moved from the nearby Castro Point Railway museum to the park for use during the dedication festivities. A few years later, when the PLA began looking for a new home, this park was one of the options on the table. The PLA would have constructed a loop around the perimeter of the park and used one of the buildings (can't recall if #1 was still there at the time)for an enginehouse.

Also of note in this aerial is the Richmond Ramblers Motorcycle Club at upper right.
