Two questions: I've seen many shots of 654, none of 652 and only one of 653 in service. Were the 652 and 653 stored out of service near the end, leaving just the 654 to do the work?

Tidewater Southern: I have a duplicate slide of an RS2 or 3 in UP colors and lettered Tidewater Southern from the mid or late 1960s, but I don't know really why that would be. I thought TS was absorbed by the WP, and later by the UP- but after 1982, so an Alco RS2/3 would seem very out of place for that time frame. Anyone?
