Funds for the Warm Springs Extension? Yeah right, that isn't going to be anymore useful the the extension to San Jose which is also being promoted with astronomoical ridership figures which have no basis in reality. Why are they wasting money on BART when we have rail systems already in place or just in need of repair?

Have any of you heard of the "Santa Clara Station Area Plan"? It is a bunch of grandiose plans for the area bounded by Newhall St. The Alameda, Benton, and Coleman Ave. Hotels, new roads, pedestrian overpasses, hiking trails, all based on the assumption of BART's arrival in San Jose. There are several VTA,city, and county employees already being paid to plan something that may never exist.

Disclaimer: I own a house on Newhall St. and would benefit financially if the SAP comes to fruition---but I am still opposed to it and BART.
