Well, Bob, we'll have to agree to disagree on one point: the Giants are much more worth being a fan of than the Dodgers. Teaches you humility at times.

Otherwise, all excellent points. I like our trains in N. Calif and the Bay Area too, even (though I haven't had reason to use it in many years) BART. And I do have an electric car: drives nicely, has more than enough range for my purposes (about 200 miles), charges cheaply overnight, pays annually for its minor road use, and I got it used for fairly cheap (EVs depreciate very quickly).

BTW, our local transit is offering free rides to Covid shot locations. Just show your appointment notice. Is LA Metro doing that? Social service transportation, providing a real service...
