PHX to Tucson might be a good idea.

I can agree that southern Arizona residents might use service between Phoenix area stations and Tucson area stations. Looks like a lot of money on fixing the track between downtown and the mainline. Anyone that drives between the two cities knows how choked can be.

Now, the thought that daily service to Los Angeles is going to magically reduce traffic and fill trains sounds more like a foamers dream. Yes, some can imagine traveling with mother between the two points, eating in the diner car etc. But does it really make sense?
