... Fire damage to BNSF...?

The engineering departments at UP and BNSF should rethink the design of wooden trestles and bridges in fire prone areas.Come up with a new common standard bridge design eliminating all wood from the design.Steel or concrete crossties, and piling. Steel stringers ,decking and railing. Remove vegetation beside and under the bridges.Steel beams may warp from heat like the Hotlum bridge but how much of that heat was generated from the wooden ties and decking burning?
