Heat maps show fire got into Robbers Creek (on xWP/BNSF line north of Westwood), but heat maps and recent news reports show it has been kept out of Westwood itself so far. This is all a still unpredictable fire activity zone, so I don't see BNSF getting full access much less running trains for a while. Fire is also blowing up in Lassen National Park, and has almost hit CA36 between Almanor and Susanville. US395 is closed because fire jumped ahead and burned into north end of Honey Lake south of Susanville. Susanville itself is still threatened with residents on standby to evacuate the last I heard. The old SP line to Westwood which is the Bizz Johnson trail seems to have largely burned, as has many of the former logging railroad territory for Fruit Growers Supply and some of the Red River/Almanor lines.
I haven't heard anything solid regarding UP operations or if BNSF is using the Cascade line to Klamath Falls for any detours.
