No more grade separations are needed, HSR equipment can run on Caltrain as soon as the electrification is completed. Why would more g/s be needed?
The HSR trains will not operate over crossings faster than the legally allowed 110 mph. Just like Brightline. Adding HSR trains to Caltrain is no different than adding more Caltrain runs. This is why CAHSR chose the blended plan for San Francisco to San Jose. It doesn't require much costly new construction.
