I've been up there with a Hyundai Sonata no prob. On the west side, it's possible to drive to a butte that sits on the north side of the valley above Borup Loop. You can watch trains coming down from west Stampede, circle around, head back up the valley, then down the south side. Quite spectacular! I've taken my lawn chair and a Sunday NYTimes to spend the day. Quite relaxing.
