It's going to happen. The most significant costs will be a function of real time-- quality, communications, storage and retention. We have millions of lives riding these trains every year, and they were ill served by that idiot engineer, and the incompetent idiots at Connex/Veolia, so adults are stepping in. This is not PTC. It is another layer, in addition to PTC, which will stop the train, reducing future risks of such tragic and prevenable human failure accidents, significantly.
Our senior Senator is notorious for goofy rhetoric, look at the goofy comments on the Panetta CIA nomination, because she hadn't had her XXX publicly kissed before hand. She's always had an ego and power trip problem. One more facelift, though???? And, she'll probably implode. It's not a partisan issue-half the dems in CA can't stand her, either.
And, I'll put Francisco's credibility ahead of the comments, above, any day.
