This is not a new scenario---not in the least. Since the 1930's railfans have been ripping off headlights, dash signs, bells, whistles, etc. What kind of ignorance does it take to leave these parts intact on an engine? The same kind that thinks the parts will still be there later on. Will the lesson ever be learned? Don't want to blame railfans? Think vandals did it to 'put it up there nose?" Next time, think about how hard it would be to find replacement parts before yuou leave something like this in the trust of honesty.
