Im still not sure what the complaints abut HSR are other than its not "railroad as im used to" Broad Guage? NO.... Grade separations.. yes, but that has always been the ultimate right of way for freight or passenger service. It seems everyone on this board is ready to spring one of 3 knee jerk reactions; 1) Taxpayers are going to get screwed 2)THats not how I would build a Railroad 3) boondoggle! (whatever that means) So basically this is the most anti-railroad forum in existence... why dont you old crows just stick with subjects you like to talk about like Kids these days and the weather today!
