I mentioned in my first reply that the Federal Railroad Administration is studying restoration of service on the Pioneer route, along with other routes previously discontinued by Amtrak. However, rather than address that point, you just dismissed what I said as "word salad."

but there IS

$630,000 would only pay for a portion of a more detailed follow-up study to the FRA study. There was $66 Billion authorized for Amtrak in the 2021 Bi-partisan Infrastructure Legislation. Somewhere in that $66 Billion would be at least $630,000 to advance work on restoration of the Pioneer Route.

I am outraged by the billions of federal money spent on flood insurance when people continue to build in locations of known flood and storm rish. Unlike you, I have the wisdom, soberiety, and perspective to understand that even if the budget for this program was reduced, the funding would not necessarily be reallocated for Amtrak to restore service on long-distance routes.

Christ is irrelevant to this discussion.

As you say,

The Federal Railroad Administration study only started THIS YEAR. There has NOT been ongoing studies of restoration of the train since its discontinuance.

Is it time for a new study?

You must be a reactionary to automatically take the word of some random treat that this has anything to do with pedophilia. If you provided a link an ACTUAL description from the federal agency administering the program, I'd look it up myself.

Oh grow up little boy. The miniscule amount for this program is not stopping restoration of the Pioneer. Union Pacific's demands are much more likely to be an obstacle.

If you don't like this program, go whine on a different internet discussion forum.

I'm done with you. Any reply to this bost will be just for your benefit and for other AP members still reading this thread.
