When the UP 844 special came through Pleasanton today, there were hardly any passengers on-board the train. There were crew members up front of course (power car, tool car), and there were execs on the "back porch" of the car brining up the rear. But the regular passenger cars in the middle were virtually empty. One coach car looked completely empty, and the dome had 1 person sitting in it. There were a few people taking pictures from the open vestibules, but other than that, I was really surprised to see how empty it was.
