Not bad in comparison......

At lunch on Wednesday a friend happened to mention that one of the PV's in the upcoming 4449 train was asking $700 for a seat from Portland to Spokane, and that was not a tax deductible donation, just a ticket.

The sad fact is the cost of mainline steam is sky high. And in today's economy there are a lot of folks who will choose to keep their money in the bank just in case. The cancellation of the 3751 trip is a good case in point.
