B4 u invoke dishonest whataboutisms, highways are different. Most funding is from gas taxes collected and sent to the US. Then redistributed to states.
About time u spoiled Dems have to make tough choices. Decide on ur priorities and negotiate for the most important. Some taxes can b raised. But impossible to raise enough to pay for all the toys u demand.
I like this new House speaker. Agrees to needed war funding of $14 billion but requiring equal offsets from the $100 billion passed last year to massively expand the IRS into a political harassment machine. If u want new things then u have to cut somewhere. Good strategy.
