Talking "smack" implies an injustice , getting rid of unreliable locomotives is not talking smack..If these units worked reliably UP would still be using them . Let's see the SD 9 model lasted for 40 years and millions of miles the SD 40's for thirty years.How long did the Corman gensets last on UP. The short lines got these units at a bargain price and there might have been clean air incentives to purchase them. Your good fortune is self evident.
