EMD DDA40X,or DD40AX aka the Centennials. Believe EMD built them only for UP to celebrate UP's 100 anniversary. EMD produced some other double diesels for the SP and UP.aybe DD35A's and DD35s. They used a lot of fuel and UP was going towards having only a few models of units, SD40's and SD40-2's were their units of choice at that time. Also if one engine needed work then both engines would be out of service.
That is what I remember, your mileage may vary.
