I like Alf's comments on this subject...very well put. I don't have an exact year when 37 was last used by TPL, but I believe it might have been in the mid to late 50's. She spent a lot of her career out at Yager Creek, off of the NWP Alton Branch and might have subbed for 2-8-2 35 on the log hauler over the NWP when that locomotive was down for repair or a boiler wash.
