Licensed professionals have access to some products which are not available to unlicensed folks, as well as being able to purchase larger quantities and stronger concentrations of what is sold in the local hardware stores.

Also, some contractors include a revisit for "touch up" spraying, both to cover missed spots and also to kill species which normally sprout later in the year than the initial spraying.
