You can thank the Byron Boyd's of the world for selling you out, and failing to negotiate agreements to effectively protect the interests of operating crafts. It was my personal witnessing of his sleazier aspects as a Union Officer that was one additional reason for me to take a buy out. Knowing we had respresentation like this, meant that we would continue to be sold out, and that the quality of the job would continue to deteriorate. His subsequent indictment and felony conviction for corruption, years later, came as no real surprise to me.
