Interesting web site. I hadn't seen it before. However, much of the track marked "ABL" in the first photomap was actually owned, maintained and operated by SP (later UP), and the associated text and photo captions are therefore wrong. The line of demarcation between SP and ABL was at the south edge of the crossing at Broadway, thus all the trackage from the bridge up to that point (including the team track) was SP's alone. The error is possibly because the author seems to have relied on the ABL "history" that he's linked to, which contains errors itself. For example, the article refers to the Alameda "Beltline" (one word); the actual name of the company was Alameda Belt Line (two words). Also, it states that the company was jointly owned by the Santa Fe and the "Western" Railroad; the second company was the Western Pacific.
