Having witnessed the jet engine sound of Amtrak turboliners roaring (should I say "Rohring"?) through the curves and tunnels along the east shore of the Hudson River, I think a UP Big Blow would be a mind-blowing experience for today's railfans. But today's economy, and the logistics noted above, make it highly unlikely.
