Don't remember if the Ogden "blow" is one of the two that sat at GE's North Salt Lake apparatus
shop for some time but if it is it was gutted and the unit would just be a shell. Sam's vivid and
very correct recollection brings back a memory of going to work with my Dad and sitting at the UP
crossing at Turnbull Canyon Road in what is now City of Industry when the propane powered "blow"
went by, accelerating up past the 7th Avenue grade and noisy enough to really rattle the windows.
It wasn't too surprising that the experiment didn't last too long in the LA area.
