Jay, your memory is accurate and right on. I was snooping around on the west side of Lookout pass early in Sept 1980 just before BN quit running the line. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures.

There is a nice copy of the Gyros special in the Old Country buffet at Sprague and Pines in Spokane Valley. They also have a good picture of the GN depot and UP's Joso bridge over the Snake river.
