Hey Ron-- What you saw as a kid in Missoula, MT were NOT "Great Northern electric locomotives.. They were CMSt.P&P locos... (The Milwaukee Road)...
The electric system on the GN was abandoned in 1956. The Milwaukee abandoned in 1974.
