Along with the fact that there was some sort of a political deal in the works between thew State and Santa Fe. Quite likely it might have been for support of the merger. As David stated there WAS a promise of careing for the equipment and the track record, on the surface at least, showed that CSRM did care for their equipment. Guess it's donor beware in these kind of things. Interesting enough there was a group in the San Bernardino area that had also tried to get the equipment to operate between the two shopping centers in that city. Andy
