Hi Bert-- Thanks for your compliments.. Actually, that website belongs to the GSMRM//EBMES folks at Point Richmond, CA. However, as I have vast knowledge of the history of the old place from "day one" along with vast numbers of rare photos, I contributed the stuff and the club was glad to get it and posted most everything..
Now then, on the other side of the coin, the "other" model club in the Eastbay is the "Golden Gate Live Steamers" which was founded by my grandfather almost 75-years ago.
I created a big site full of written history and other info for them, plus tons of photos too.
Infact, there are several from my Grandfather's famous Live Steam basement railroad operation.
To see ALL of this, you have to sign up, thru YahooGroups, for the "VicShattockTrains" website.
I am the owner//moderator.. It is free.. And I encourage any of you on A-P to join and look at another great model operation that once graced the Eastbay area since the 1930's..
The URL is:
[
groups.yahoo.com]
Thanks, Bert-- and everyone else as well !!
