Highway 99E was constructed in about 1935 and required relocation of the PTC Oregon City trackage from Reeves (17th & Lava Drive to Park Avenue (Evergreen station)) The track was moved to the west when the "Superhighway" (as it was called) was built. If you look towards Willsburg Junction at the overcrossing you can see the steel bridge portion of the trestle over Kellog Lake where the OC line originally was. On the west side of McLoughlin Blvd. you can see the opening in the trestle where the final alignment was prior to abandonment in 1967.
Things us "old guys" still can remember!!!
