To answer Rivers' question, ORHF is the Oregon Rail Heritage Foundation. It is a partnership of the Friends of SP 4449, the Pacific Railroad Preservation Association (PRPA, which maintains the former SP&S 700) and several other organizations.

The goal is to establish a permanent home for the city's big steam locomotives and the other eclectic pieces of rolling stock that call the Brooklyn Roundhouse home. Union Pacific, which owns the former SP yard, wants to redevelop the land on which the roundhouse stands, and this would evict the organizations and individuals who maintain and store their equipment there.
