You sure said a lot of stuff, but did not mention one instance of a steam railroad being threatened with closure due to environmental concerns. Your response mostly avoided dealing with the main points of my post.

Whatever.
I'm a transportation professional, too. While some Trains articles are disappointly thin, as a transportation professional, I would not dismiss this pulication as a "sham."
In the context of the issue I raised, reporting on environmental issues associated with current steam operations, I don't know what "pro-corporate" means. Every May, Trains produces an issue devoted to tourist railroads. If Trains is "pro-corporate" as you allege, it certainly would report on threats to tourist train operations.
I really appreciate BOB2's post as well as the article on how the Durango & Silverton is responding to the concerns of Durango's residents.
