I found my Dad's notes and here is the PanAm crew list. They flew from SFO as a scheduled flight with John Bell as Purser, George Coppins as Flight Engineer, Patricia Hepinstall and Ruth Kelly as Stewardesses, Earl Lemon as Navigator, Roy Moungovan as First Officer and Don McClennon as Captain to Nadi, Fiji. From Nadi to the South Pole, Ralph Savory replaced Don as Captain and A.F. Loeffler shared time with Coppins as Flight Engineer. Not certain, but the two stewardesses may have been the first women at the South Pole, certainly among the first.
For those interested, the B-377 had the problematic P&W R-4360 engines that, along with their props, gave crews and mechanics a lot of trouble. PanAm lost one over the Pacific account of a runaway prop with tragic results.
