Here's a few shots from an area in Southern California that doesn't get much attention from photographers. For anybody who isn't familiar with the area, it's Union Pacific's Lone Pine Subdivision, which is a branch line that runs out of Mojave up to Searles 48 miles away. At Searles, the branch connects with the Trona Railway (Searles Valley Minerals) who is the largest shipper on the line. Two primary products are shipped over the entire length of the line, and those are soda ash (sodium carbonate), and coal for power generation. Hope you enjoy the shots.
