The power plant is operated by ACE Cogeneration, a separate company from Searles Valley Minerals. ACE Co. produces power for the chemical plant, and then sells additional power to So Cal Edison. They also have their own fleet of coal hoppers, as does SVM. The reporting marks are ACEX and DGHX respectively. The coal trains originate in Utah, come down the LA&SL to Daggett, then from Daggett to Mojave they use BNSF trackage with UP crews.
