Margaret Monroe.. a 'la SPFan.. Haven't heard a peep out of her for a long time on various boards on the NET.. Nice lady. I like her a lot. She works for CalTrans.. Margaret was one dedicated volunteer. She treated that locomotive (2472) like her child. She loved the train crews, the members, the excursions, the hard work.. She supported GGRM and Project 2472 like it was her Mother. At this point in her life, she must be absolutely devastated about the whole damn mess..

And then there was the infamous RON VANE again... When "Stash" and myself (KRK) co-hosted the famous "Grand Key Tour" (by chartered bus) in June-2002, Ron Vane was among the excursionists.
We had a beautiful lunch stop, which was catered, in the Montclair Village park in Oakland, alongside the former Sacramento Northern right-of-way.
Before we could hardly finish eating, Ron Vane took off with a part of our group and ascended the steep grade of the SN heading up toward Snake Road, in Shepherd Canyon.
Whose damn tour was this ? Stash and KRK, or Ron Vane ?? Do you see my point.
I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him.
I'm surprised this thread goes on-- BUT, the darn truth needs to come out. As I mentioned earlier, as long as there is SECRECY involved, the mess will continue.
However, if they slip up in some illegal way, they could lose their non-profit status, because the IRS might start getting interested.
Anyway-- I pray and hope that good things can come out of the whole thing.
