I noticed on that "other" forum that there's a distinct possibility that Union Pacific shifts most of its west-east traffic to Donner Pass next year. BNSF would be stuck with footing the bill for the Feather River route. I suppose they would have options to purchase parts of the line. One wonders what will become of the line east of Keddie if BNSF chooses to only use the route for the Inside Gateway route, and keep their trackage rights trains on Donner. In any case it will be interesting year ahead.
