Stash and crmeatball make valid points that I pretty much agree with (except the part about Timmy...that is not a child. It's an adult troll.)

Of course the webmaster has every right to do pretty what he or she pleases---on any forum. There is no "freedom of speech" so to speak, because the webmaster CAN be a dictator if he or she so pleases (or they can do nothing---or anything in between). My point is simply that I do not want to participate in a forum like that (even though I'm still posting on this thread, but I feel I need to explain my comments a bit). It is my personal choice, and I know that many others feel similarly. There is a large group of former TO members on Facebook---and we are still getting the exact same information, just as up-to-date---for free. And nobody deletes or censors anything. It is my own personal opinion that deleting/censoring is what drives people away. TO is a prime example of that.

I still say that one of the funniest things I see on forums is when people write comments that ask the webmaster to "please delete the above comment!" as if they are personally injured or something. As far as I know, there is nobody standing behind that person with a gun forcing them to read a particular thread (and then post comments about it).
