The plans that I have seen have the trains stopping to the north of Sir Francis Drake roughly where the current end of track is. This means that passengers would have to walk through part of the Larkspur Landing shopping center, across Sir Francis Drake and across the ferry parking lot to get to the ferry. I believe that the SMART folks know that this is a less than optimal connection. A real connection would require capital, both political and fiscal.
