I always heard the Ewe - Pee's early SD - 40 - 2's referred to as " Snoots " . Was this unit one of the ones converted to " Fast Fortys ", with higher gearing , for use with the Centennials ???
And I always thought the " Crud " nickname for Espee SW - 1500's , was due to their dirty appearance.
