I'm not advocating for the 2100 to be run on the Astoria line, but in 2005, I rode the P & W on one of the excursion trains which were operated in commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the Lewis & Clark Expedition. It was a nice ride on an RDC from the outskirts of Portland to Astoria.

Not to mention that the 700 is a much better looking locomotive. With apologies to any Reading fans, I feel that the Reading steam locomotives are aesthetically challenged.
