I live on the east coast and have never posted here before but I have been reading this discussion group for years. Please remember that to us hundreds of Reading fans back east the 2100 is considered a goddess along with her remaining sisters, 2101, 2102, and 2124. I would hope that in lieu of scrapping a much loved engine, loved by at least us easterners, she could be offered at scrap value to the Reading Company Technical and Historical Society or some other eastern preservation group.
