Here are three oldies from 73.
Photo One: SP 4007 an RS32 at Tracy, CA on March 18, 1973.
Photo Two: It used to be I shot black and white film for the boring stuff. In those days SP SD45's and UP SD40's were considered boring. SP 9076 leads a freight around the wye at Davis, California around 1973. The train is coming off the CalP and heading up what now is the California Northern. Then, it was the West Valley Line of the Southern Pacific.
Photo Three: The Alco hydraulics spent the vast majority of their time hanging around the Roseville shops. Here is DH643 9800 in its usual place on March 23, 1973. It still has its Nathan M3. Film Tri-X
