Sir,
Thank you for your wonderful Timetables. I realized you took over this business as a labor of love, and as a tribute to the former owner who passed so young. Thank you for that! And thank you for providing this website. Know that your Timetables are the finest railfan resource, bar none. And I don't even "foam" or "chase", I am intested in the history and use of the right-of-ways. I too have seen then tucked into Conductors grips, and sticking out of their back pockets. And this is the best website discussion on the Internet also, and free! Thank you for that, also.
The best case would be for you, somehow, to find a way to earn what you deserve for producing these fine products. Good luck, sir! I am buying an extra copy of the California Timetable as a gift for someone (to be determined) so as to help out in a small way.
But I would just like to throw out a suggestion. A right-of-way WIKI might be feasible. Where interested hobbyist could update the locations of sidings, frequencies, and such as they became known. Heck, maybe people might want to upload pictures and track diagrams by railroad/division/milepost location, and eventually a history of these right-of-ways could be captured. Or maybe this is a stupid idea, thanks for reading.
