Photo would be from the Feb 15, 1964 Barstow Excursion.
Photo stops were made at Thorn, MP 39.1 Which I am sure where this photo was taken in the cut. Well before homes built. I had scouted this one and was a favortate of mine, prior to homes being built.
A photo stop was made at Alray MP 59.77. Do not recall a cut like in this photo.
Motive power was the 69 and 67.
Consist was Bag Coach 2544, coach 3368 and cafe observation 1509.
Even with a $10.00 fare which was a high fare for the time era, we could not sell out the trip.
Wonder how much one could charge at todays rates and equipment types.
The 1960's were true fun for all the trips that OERM operated. Some on trackage is no longer available. Such as Blythe Ripley. That track will soon be torn up!
Thanks to those who were able to support these trips, many who are no longer with us.
